My Experience:
The first thing I noticed about this product was that the box was very, very heavy. To me, this was a good thing because I have had bad experiences with purchasing furniture from stores like Target and WalMart in the past. Currently, Baby C does not own a dresser because the dresser we spent $200 on at Target fell apart- completely. The bottom drawer fell out and the supports underneath broke and the flimsy back panel fell off as well. So I was pleased with the fact that the ClosetMaid Cubeicals Organizer was made of solid, sturdy wood.
The directions- were very easy to follow and I was extremely pleased that there were words in the book. These days, many companies seem to forgo the words for just photos, but a girl like me prefers photos and words to help me put my purchase together.
All of the pieces of the Cubeicals Organizer are marked with letters (A, B, C, etc.) and in the direction booklet it will tell you to attach part A to part B and so on.
With my helper by my side, it took me no more than 30 minutes to put this piece together (and I don’t even think it took me that long). All you need to put this unit together is a Philips screwdriver!
There are 9 cubes in all and you have the option of placing back panels on the unit. We chose to go without them, but all you need is a hammer to place in the nails for the back panels.
There are fabric drawers available from Target for the Cubeicals Organizer and the drawers come in a variety of colors. Click to see the brown fabric drawers (retail price: $12.99 for a two-pack). I happened to find drawers at the Dollar Tree while buying classroom supplies for (of course) one dollar a piece. Dollar Tree brands may not be as durable, but you get what you pay for, so I wasn’t expecting Martha Stewart quality fabric drawers- just something to hold Baby C’s clothes.
And Voila! Baby C has a storage place for her socks, underwear, pajamas and undershirts. Not to mention storage room for her diapers, wipes and shoes. The best part? This fits right into the bottom of her closet so I can close the closet door and poof! Out of sight, out of mind.
I am very happy with the Cubeicals Organizer. As I stated above it seems extremely sturdy and is very easy to put together.
